66 -- INTENSIFIED CCD CAMERA SYSTEM SOL NB847000600129DT DUE 021596 POC Doris Turner, 303-497-3872 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking qualified sources who can supply an intensified CCD Camera system with the following features: 1. The camera controller must interface with a PC computer (pentium 75 MHz or higher); have two A/D converters: 12 bit A/D running at 1 MHz/pixel and 16 bit A/D running at 50, 150, 150 kHz/pixel; support frame transfer and kinetics mode; provide power, thermostating, shutter control and timing signals to the detector head; temperature setting from front panel; input ports included external synchronization, source compensation and external shutter control; output ports include trigger out and programmable TTL outputs; allow for on chip binning in any direction and readout of any subarray; image acquisition and processing software must be included. 2. The camera head must use the SITe 512x512 pixel CCD with 24 micron pixels. It must be operable without an intensifier (that is, with a shutter) and also with an intensifier with the shutter removed. The camera head must have the following properties: the CCD must be thinned and illuminated from the back; a UV/AR coating must be used for best response at 313, 280, and 194 nm. (QE) 35% desired); grade 1 blemish specification; readout noise 5 e- at 50 kHz, 20e- at 1 MHz; dark current at -50 degrees C less than or equal to 1 electron/pixel/s; response linearity better than 0.5% over 14 bit dynamic range; liquid cooled thermoelectric cooler capable of -60 degrees C. 3. Power supply for the intensifier must have a gateable mode and a CW mode. In the gateable mode, -200 V pulses on an external input will be used to gate the photo cathode to MCP input voltage of the intensifier. Gate pulses as narrow as 10 ns and as wide as 200 ns will be used. In order to permit a high duty cycle, the pulses should be DC coupled to the photo cathode. For DC coupling the MCP input should be ground (or with the possibility to a few tens of volts bias with respect to ground) and the screen at positive high voltage. 4. The proximity focussed 18 mm MCP intensifier must be gateable to 5 ns FWHM and have the following capabilities: photo cathode uniformity better than +/- 20% across the spectrum; the photo cathode should be optimized for a blue/UV response with a QE better than 7% at 200 nm and 9% at 300 nm; a P43 output phosphor. 5. The lens coupling should be f/2.0 or faster. The vignetting should be less than 10% along the 18 mm CCD diagonal. Interested sources proposing to supply this system must submit a written qualification statement clearly establishing capability to meet the above requirements within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. There is no formal solicitation. (0030)
