The Air Force Mobility Command (AMC) is requesting information for evaluation of existing commercial ground/air cargo processing and handling systems. We are seeking information on utilizing existing commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) transportation software for incorporation into a United States Air Force development effort. The Air Force wants to integrate existing capabilities with development effort currently underway to create a transportation command and control system to communicate with several government and commercial agencies. The system is to provide intransit visibility (ability to determine the location of any cargo item in route) for commercial air and ground transportation as well as military airlift. We are also looking for information on capability to provide automated shipment planning, load planning, manifesting, item tracking and tracing, temporary warehouse storage.
