2/20/96. (1) 12 SINS, SIN 219-8 (TV, portable/hotel/motel) has been
eliminated and SIN 219-13 camcorders/handheld/Home) has been added. (2)
77, part III, multiple award Federal supplyschedule, audio and video
equipment; televisions, TV/VCR combinations, VCR/vcp, stereo components
(which includes tuners, turntables, amplifiers, equalizers, speakers,
cassette, decks, and compact DISC players), and camcorders. Resulting
contracts will be indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contracts
with a $100 guaranteed minimum for the contract period. FOB origin-50
States, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. To assist the customer agencies
to determine when they should seek a price decrease, a level called a
maximum order will be established under each contract. When an agency
order exceeds this amount, It is recommended that the agency contact
the vendor for a reduced price. The vendors will not be obligated to
accept these orders in accordance with FAR. 52.216-19.100196, or date
of award, whichever is later, through 093001 (contract period).
I-FSS-167, option to extend the term of the contract. The General
Services administration (GSA) has included an option to extend the term
of this contract in order to demonstrate the value It places on quality
performance by providinga mechanism for continuing a contractual
relationship with a successfull offeror that performs at a level which
meets or exceeds GSA'S quality performance expectations as
communicated to the contractor, writing, by the Contracting Officer or
designated representative. When deciding whether to exercise
theoption, the Contracting Officer will consider the quality of the
contractor'spast performance under this contract in accordance with 48
CFR 517.207. Solicitation will have four annual open seasons and they
are as follows: October 1, 1997; October, 1 1998, October 1, 1999;
October 1, 2000, to consider new offers. See Note 12 (tradeagreements).
All responsible sources may submit an offer which will beconsidered.
