The U.S. Customs Service is seeking expressions of interest from potential sources to perform P-3 aircraft Phased Depot Maintenance (PDM) airframe inspections in accordance with NAVAIR P-3 PDM. Interested parties are to furnish estimated schedules and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates. Specifically, for each of the aircraft listed below, Customs requests the following information: (1) Estimated cost and number of man-hours to perform the next scheduled PDM inspection (exclusive of needed repairs) in accordance with NAVAIR P-3 PDM. (2) Estimated calendar days required to perform the next scheduled PDM inspection (exclusive of needed repairs) in accordance with NAVAIR P-3 PDM. (3) Estimated number of calendar days Customs could generally expect for induction delays. Customs operates eight P-3 aircraft. The following information pertinent to each aircraft is presented by Bureau Number (BUNO) /Model /Total airframe hours as of December 31, 1995 /Next scheduled PDM inspection: (a)150514 /P-3A /20,200.0 /October 1999, (b)151395 /P-3A /19,511.3 /May 1999, (c)151390 /P-3A /19,220.8 /September 1998, (d)152170 /P-3A /19,480.4 /January 1999, (e) 152722 /P-3B /21,230.7 /March1996, (f)154575 /P-3B /18,121.7 /March 1997, (g)154605 /P-3B /14,082.5 /February 1998, (h)155299 /P-3B /15,228.0 /March 1999. The estimated flight hours for each of the P-3As is 55 hours per month, and the P-3Bs is 70 hours per month. Each respondent is requested to furnish information relative to its past P-3 PDM experience, including: contract number, contracting agency, agency contracting officer and phone number, and a brief contract narrative.
