United States Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca is sponsoring
an Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI). Format will include
presentations of planned acquisition by 11 major requiring activities.
This event is held to foster advance contract planning and stimulate
competition. Registration is limited. Call (520) 458-4293 for complete
information. Announcing the Advance Planning Briefing for Industry
(APBI) sponsored by the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca
and hosted by the Coronada Chapter of the National Contract Management
Association (NCMA). The theme of the APBI is ''What's New Under the
Desert Sun?'' The APBI format will include presentations of planned
acquisitions by major requiring activities and one-on-one counseling
for small and small disadvantaged business firms. The APBI will be held
February 7 & 8, 1996 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Presentations will be
given by major activities located at Fort Huachuca and doing business
in the Southwest. Included among the presentations for contracting
opportunities are: U.S. Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca
(USAIC&FH), U.S. Army Information Systems Command (USAISC), U.S. Army
Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Intelligence &
Electronic Warfare Test Directorate of the Test and Experimental
Command (TEXCOM), Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), U.S. Army
Electronic Proving Ground (USAPEG), U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground
(USAYPG), White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), Advanced Research Projects
Agency (ARPA), Counter Drug Technology Assessment Center, Office of
National Drug Control Policy, General Services Administration, Federal
Systems Integration and Management Center (GSA-FED-SIM), U.S. ARMY
Information Systems Command Contracting Office and Fort Huachuca
Directorate of Contracting. There will also be a town hall discussion
on acquisition reform led by the APBI luncheon keynote speaker, William
Mounts, Director, International and Commercial Systems Acquisition,
Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Acquisition Reform.
Presentations will be held in the Information systems Command
auditorium, Room 1215, in Greely Hall, on Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Early
sign-in registration and a reception begins at 5:00 PM on February 6,
1996 at the Wyndemore Hotel in Sierra Vista, APBI headquarters. To

Registration fee is $225.00. The APBI Committee encourages early
registration for both the APBI conference and at local hotels as space
is limited. Only paid registrations are guaranteed due to limited
space. Your return mail brochure will list local hotels. Official sign
in will begin at 7:00 AM on February 7th at Greely Hall, the
conference site on Fort Huachuca. Registration fee includes the cost of
the February 7 luncheon and February 7 Icebreaker Reception, which is
sufficient for a meal, as well continental breakfasts on both February
7 and 8. Dress code for all conference sessions and social events will
