Riviere Code 2131PR, (908) 323-2756. The Naval Air Warfare Center
Aircraft Division, Lakehurst is seeking contractors to participate in
a joint partnership with the Navy to improve the productibility and
manufacturability of the Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System

United States Navy Aircraft Carriers that provides glideslope guidance
to the pilot of an approaching aircraft. The following are major
components of the IFLOLS: Indicator Assemby: Consists of glass lens
assemblies, stabilized fiber optic blocks and microprocessor controlled
drive system (DC motor, ballscrew, and linear slide assembly). Requires

throughout. Dimensions: 73'' x 17''W x 42''D. Weight 1340 lbs. Lens
Room Electronic Enclosure: Consists of touch screen display, fiber
optic communication hub (to communicate with 2 other remote panels via
ethernet), card cage assembly (12 printed circuit boards of SEM 'D'
and 'E'formats) and motor driven variacs for source light intensity
control. Dimensions: 53''H x 30''W x 58''D. Weight 200 lbs. Heave

program will be presented to perspective contractors. This RFI
supersedes N68335-96-RFI-601 of December 26, 1995. This is not a
request for proposal, but rather a request for interested contractors
who wish to be notified of the time and place of the pre-solicitation
