Final notification seeking sources in providing retread tire service for military non-directional (ND) and High Mobility Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) tires. Services include sectional repair, under tread repair and spot repair, etc as required on the following for each quarter: (1) 900 x 20 ND, 8 Ply, 2 1/2 ton truck tire, Military tread. (2) 36 x 12.5 - 16.5 6 ply, 1t HMMWV tires. Tread rubber for military ND tires shall be certified as to conforming with Federal Specifications ZZ-T-416G material standards. All other tread rubber and other rubber components shall be that used in normal commercial practice. Tire inspection before and after retreading will be in accordance to specifications. Requirements shall include: (1) a similar tread design to the original military tread design; (2) flexible, ``precured'' tread to be used for retreading the original casing; (3) casings precisely buffed to base tire radius and (4) retread rubber bonded to the casing by the chemical adhesives/high pressure method at the normal inflated tire size, rather than the heat method. This will be a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the remainder of Fiscal Year 96 (FY96) thru September 30, 1996 with three (3) option years to be exercised at the discretion of the Government.
