The Navy Experimental Diving Unit has been tasked to conduct a market survey to identify commercial diver's breathing air quality monitoring equipment. The equipment should be suitable for incorporation into existing diver's breathing air compressors, there by allowing elimination of, or a significant reduction in the semi-annual requirement for diver's breathing air sampling. The market survey will will be focused in two main areas: (1) Identify air purification systems that have the ability to signal the systems inability to meet a specified purification level. (2) Air purity monitoring sensor systems that measure and indicate the level of specified compounds, i.e. carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, total hydrocarbons, oxygen and particulate and oil mist level.
