MEMORANDUM FOR US DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE 17. This is to be published in
the special notices section of CBD. USAF munitions materiel handling
equipment roadmap workshop - Eglin AFB FL. The USAF Munitions Materiel
Handling Equipment (MMHE) Focal Point, Aeronautical Systems Center,
Eglin AFB Florida, will host the Annual MMHE Roadmap Workshop, 29
Apr.-3 May 1996, at Eglin AFB Florida. The purpose of the conference is
to provide a forum for munitions managers and logistics and development
managers to meet and exchange ideas, identify problem areas, assign
action agencies, compare requirements, observe demonstrations of new
equipment, and to discuss pertinent munitions and armament equipment
issues. The MMHE Focal Point Chief is extending to industry an
opportunity to provide presentations on state-of-the-art products that
have application in the area of munitions and armament maintenance.
Items of particular interest include technical applications that
increase reliability, maintainability and deployability of munitions
handling and armament equipment, down-sized multipurpose, highly
reliable munitions and armament equipment, new concepts, methods, or
technology that enhance loading of combat aircraft with munitions, the
new technologies that enhance storage and maintenance of munitions.
Depending upon the number of responses, available briefing time may be
a limiting factor. The Government reserves the right to select the
products to be presented. Industry personnel will not be allowed to
attend any of the other formal segments of the conference. The
Government intends this to be an informal exchange between industry and
the Government, and does not intend to award contracts or make any
payments for services on the basis of this action. This invitation does
not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal
(RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
Interested personnel should provide written requests, along with a
synopsis of their presentation, to arrive no later than 1 April 1996.
