Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, In-Service Engineering, East Coast Division (NISE East) Charleston, SC is interested in industry input concerning a new Section B format using pricing matrices for telecommunication cabling/equipment installation contracts. The format entails the use of a ''per unit'' concept on services rendered. The per unit cost is to incorporate all non-material costs associated with the subject task with the exception of travel. Major material will be government furnished. The basic idea is to have industry provide bids based on a ''matrix'' concept. The matrices are to follow three general areas -- outside plant communication cabling/equipment, inside plant cabling/equipment and support services required during the cabling/equipment installation.
