THE DEPUTY UNDER SECRETARY OF DEFENSE FOR SPACE PRESENTS THE FIRST ANNUAL SPACE STRATEGY AND ARCHITECTURE SYMPOSIUM: ``WHERE ARE WE GOING IN SPACE? THINKING OUT OF THE BOX'' The Department of Defense will host two days of panels and discussions on critical Space issues. Mr. Robert V. Davis, the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Space, in conjunction with the National Security Industrial Association (NSIA) Space Committee, will present a stimulating conference to address these three key areas: SPACE ACCESS; TECHNOLOGY INSERTION; and SYSTEM OWNERSHIP - three of the most critical topics to DoD national security policy makers. The format, which will include panels of senior government, industry, and academic experts, will draw heavy audience participation -- this will not be the usual canned briefings. Debate will be strongly encouraged. Dr. Paul Kaminski, the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology, will keynote. Guest speakers and panel members invited to participate include Mr. Pete Aldridge, President & CEO, Aerospace Corporation, General Joseph Ashy, Commander in Chief, United States Space Command, LTG Donald M. Lionetti, USA, Ret., Mr. Charles Trimble, President and CEO, Trimble Navigation, Mr. David Thompson, President and CEO, Orbital Science Corporation, General Thomas S. Moorman, Jr., Vice Chief of Staff, United States Air Force, Rear Admiral Katharine Laughton, Commander, Naval Space Command, and Mr. Jeffrey Harris, Director, NRO.
