Applicable to the OH-58 Aircraft. This requirement will be awarded as
an indefinite quantity type contract, with a 5 year ordering period.
Minimum quantity 200 each, maximum quantity of 1,450 each. FOB
Destination with required delivery of 200 ea 170 days ADC to Texarkana,
TX. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources
may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
Authority and justification is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a
Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is
for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and
drawings to permit full and open competition; however, it is
restricted to approved source(s) Bell Helicopter Textron, Ft. Worth, TX
and Shur-Lok Corp, Irvine, CA. The time required for approval of new
supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending
approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval
in order to compete for future solicitations IAW the instructions
contained in Section L of the solicitation. Information on meeting of
qualifications may also be obtained from ATCOM, ATTN: AMSAT-R-EB
