99 -- PRIME VENDOR DRUG PRICING AGREEMENT SOL Drug Pricing Agreement DUE 022696 POC Contact Point, Michael Suess, (301)443-5352 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office of Drug Pricing (ODP), is requesting industry comment a draft agreement developed in accordance with Section 602 of Public Law 102-585, the ''Veterans Health Care Act of 1992''. This pharmaceutical pricing agreement is intended to serve those eligible entities covered by Section 340B of the Public Health Service Act. Section 340B mandates the establishment of a prime vendor program which will consist of both a price negotiation and a drug distribution section. The prime vendor will be required to negotiate for prices 1ower than the ceiling established by law. HRSA, through ODP, has develop a draft agreement that meets the requirements of Section 340B. The prime vendor shall provide, directly or by arrangement, all drugs/pharmaceutical items authorized under Section 340B for distribution through this agreement to all member entities.
