D -- PURCHASE OF MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION SYSTEMS TO INCLUDE SITE SURVEY, RENOVATION, INSTALLATION, TRAINING, TRAINING GUIDES AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT Sol F44650-96-R0008, Due 032296, POC Lois B. The Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron (ACC CONS SQ) intends to issue an RFP to competitively purchase a Multimedia Modernization Contract in support of the Aircrew Training Contract. The modernization will consist of all non-personal services necessary to site survey, renovate, purchase, install, provide training, training guides and technical support for a state of the art multimedia system, for approximately 17 formal training unit classrooms and 78 operational squadrons main briefing rooms at approximately 23 ACC Bases across the Continental United States. The Offeror will be required to provide the Multimedia Systems equipment which shall have well defined requirements, Brand Name or Equal. The core of the system includes a Pentium 100 MHZ Computer, 4XCDROm, Electrochome Projector with the state of the art sound system. Site survey will be conducted to determine general layout, structure, electrical, acoustical, screen sizing and system interconnect changes required to install state of the art multimedia system. Schematic drawings of formal training unit classrooms and operational squadron main briefing rooms shall be included in RFP. Offeror will be required to renovate each classroom or main briefing room. Renovation will usually include lighting and electrical change with little structure changes. The training guide will require a detailed general layout, lighting control system, electrical system, cable runs and other information necessary to operate the system. Contract type is a firm fixed priced requirements contract: One Year Basic and Four Option Years. The solicitation will be issued on or about 29 Mar 96.
