M -- FACILITIES OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE U.S. EPA'S CHARACTERIZATION RESEARCH DIVISION IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA SOL C600241T1 POC Contact Point, Richard Makepeace, (513)366-2044, Contracting Officer, Richard Makepeace, (513)366-2044 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a requirement for facilities operation and maintenance services for the Characterization Research Division in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Contractor shall provide services such as facility operation and maintenance, repair, modification, and improvement. The Contractor shall also provide electrical, electronic, refrigeration, mechanical, and general shop support, research equipment fabrication, installation and repair. The contractor is expected to perform this support with an on-site work force and to have experience in the operation and management of technical research facilities. The main facility at 944 East Harmon has five buildings with approximately 66,000 square feet. There is a modular office complex with approximately 6,000 square feet approximately 600 yards away from the main facility. There is an additional 24,000 square foot office complex approximately a mile from the main facility that requires a limited amount of support. The types of skills required are a manager, secretary, electronics mechanic, HVAC mechanic, maintenance electrician, maintenance carpenter, and a maintenance trades helper. The Agency anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract with a base period of 12-months and four 12-month options to extend the contract term. The proposed contract will be solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, limited to small business concerns only. The applicable SIC Code is 8744 and the size standard is $20.0 million.
