BROWN, (505) 524-5134 NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for approximately 45,000 sq. ft. of hangar and support space at 8101 and 8102 Boeing, El Paso International Airport, El Paso, Texas. The proposed contract action is for a 1-year lease with four additional 12-month option periods of approximately 45,000 sq. ft. of hangar and support space of which 20,000 sq. ft. requires a minimum ceiling height of 35 feet to handle NASA-owned Grumman Gulfstream 2 aircraft and other aircraft operations which otherwise cannot be procured through full and open competition. The authority cited states only one responsible source can satisfy the Agency's requirements. FAR 6.302-1 authority and justification is 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Approved source is the City of El Paso, Texas, El Paso International Airport, El Paso, Texas. This is a follow-on contract.
