Y -- UPGRADE OF THE INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM (ILS) LOCATED AT THE ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA SOL DTFA08-96-B-02918 POC Cynthia L. Alatorre The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials (except government furnished materials), supplies and equipment required to successfully complete the upgrade of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) located at Runway 26L at the Ontario International Airport, Ontario, California. All work and materials shall be in strict accordance to FAA specifications and drawings. Work includes but is not limited to: removal of existing Localizer Antennas Arrays and associated accessories, surveying, installation of antenna pads, assembling, mounting, leveling, and aligning of new GFM equipment, installation of power, radio frequency and control cable, new ductbanks and manholes, removal of existing localizer electronic equipment and associated work related to this project. The period of performance is FORTY-FIVE (45) CALENDAR DAYS after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Invitiation For Bid (IFB) shall be available on or about February 29, 1996, with public bid opening THIRTY (30) thereafter. The estimated price range is $25,000.00 to $100,000.00. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 1799. All responsible offers may submit a bid and shall be considered by the FAA. This notice BELOW is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000.
