Fry (817/334-3034) (Site Code DACA63) There will be a Pre-Bid
Conference on the subject project on 22 Feb 96 at 10:00 am, meeting at
the Corps of Engineers Lackland Resident Office, Building 6146, 1870
MaxWell, Lackland AFB, TX. Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC) -
Emergency Services Department. This facility will be a one and one half
story building with an enclosed four floor Non-Ambulatory type elevator
tower. Services will be provided for ambulatory and non-ambulatory
patients for all types of major and minor emergencies. All systems will
be integrated into WHMC master system. The building is constructed of
a spread-footing foundation, concrete structural floor, precast
concrete and structural steel wall system and buildup roofing.
Supporting facilities include all required utilities, exterior and
interior signage, communications, fire protection, alarm systems,
parking, roads, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage and site
improvements. Estimated Cost Range: $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00 -
- Bid sets available at $75.00 for half-size and $150.00 for full-size.
No individual sheets of half-size drawings may be purchased. Requests
by mail or in person must include payment in the applicable amount by
company check or money order made payable to F&A Officer USAED FTW.

MAIL PROCEDURES WILL BE UTILIZED ON INITIAL MAILINGS OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS. No refund will be made and materials need not be
returned. If project is cancelled or no award is made, cost of plans
and specifications will be refunded only on written requests.
Solicitation to be issued on or about 21 Feb 96. Bid opening on or
about 22 Mar 96. Duration of contract 720 days. If a large business
firm is selected for this announcement, it must comply with FAR
52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan.
The Fort Worth District's subcontracting goal is for 52.5% of the total
subcontracted dollars to go to Small Businesses, 8.8% to Small
Disadvantaged Business, and 3.0% to Women Owned Small Business. Bids
from all responsible sources will be considered. SIC Code for this
procurement is 1542, Small Business Size Standard is $17 million. This
