The U.S. Army is seeking a fuze manufacturer who has the capability to provide a fuze which was previously developed by their company and can be used on the M494 anti-personnel cartridge. The cartridge is fired from a 105mm tank gun. The fuze should have the capability of being set manually by ''range to target'' information provided by the tank fire control and function reliably out to 4000 meters. It also has to have the ability to function reliably within 35 meters of the tank gun. The fuze has to be capable of functioning over a wide temperature range and withstand the military conditioning environments stated in MIL-STD-331B. More specific requirements will be provided to interested sources. Companies possessing the requisite capabilities to perform the above requirements should submit documentation to the above addressee no later than 16 Feb 96. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY.
