The Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to procure, by negotiation, Intaglio Ink Vehicle: Quickset, BEP Stop Item No. 1I000866, in accordance with BEP Specification V:QV-1A, dated September 5, 1995. This material will be used in the manufacture of intaglio inks used for printing currency notes. The material shall be an unadulterated 100% non-volatile oil modified polyester. The material will be used as an additive in intaglio currency inks to improve solvent tolerance, pigment wetting and rub resistance without sacrificing setting properties. The contract will be a fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) with prospective price redetermination type. The period of performance will be for a one (1) year base plus three (3) one year option periods. Estimated quantities for the: base year will be 90,877 lbs, first option will be 96,231 lbs, second option will be 101,581 lbs, third option will be 101,581 lbs. The solicitation will be available on or about February 23, 1996.
