services using a mobile digital image amplification radioscopic
system. This effort involves conducting a demonstration non-destructive
test on approximately thirty each 81mm and 120mm mortar projectiles.
The system capabilities shall reliably detect, categorize, measure, and
determine cavitations, piping cavities, cracks, annular rings,porosity,
and foreign materials in explosive or inert castings inside of a steel
projectile body, as well as base separations as small as 0.015 inches
between the projectile body and the inert or explosive casting. The
system must provide the capability of inspecting a minimum of one
projectile per minute in a production environment. This request is for
informational literature only at no cost to the U.S. Army. Please
