This effort involves conducting a demonstration, reliability, and repeatability non-destructive test on approximately fifty 120mm mortar inert loaded projectiles containing standard defects. Mobile CT equipment must be capable of detecting and quantifying base separations as small as 0.005 inches between steel shell bodies and explosive castings on mortar projectiles.
