S. Coast Guard Station, South Portland, Maine. The work includes but is not limited to installing temporary facilities, demolishing the existing station building and constructing a new station building, renovating the existing covered mooring facility, provide fueling system improvements, and construct new improved utilities. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 01-007-89 and Drawing No. 01-007-89. All work shall be completed within 270 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Plans (half-size), specifications, and all necessary bid documents will be available approximately 29 February 1996 and may be obtained by submitting a check in the amount of $25.00 per set (non-refundable) made payable to the U. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
