replacement of the existing underground hot water supply and return
piping, the domestic hot water supply and recirculating piping from the
boiler room (Building No. 5906) to the dormitory (Building No. 5907),
and the heating hot water supply and return piping from the gymnasium
(Building No. 5909) to the landscaping shop (Building No. 5679) and the
auto shop (Building No. 5680) at the Westover Job Corps Center located
in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The work also involves the cutting and
patching of existing manholes; the repair of bituminous, brick, and
concrete sidewalks and curbs; and incidental asbestos abatement. The
period of performance for construction is 168 calendar days from
receipt of notice to proceed through completion of the project. The
estimated cost range of construction s between $100,000.00 and
$250,000.00. Initial Plans and Specifications will be available on
February 20, 1996, only from the Architect/Engineer firm of Miller Dyer
Spears, Incorporated, 286 Congress Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210.

Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for
plans and specifications should be directed the A/E firm listed above
to ensure proper handling of requests. Plans and specifications will
be made available for pick up at the A/E's office and also for delivery
at an additional charge. Requests must be in writing and will be
answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until the initial supply is
exhausted. For requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a
non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the
IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting Officer,) plus a
shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable,) will
be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is
scheduled for March 7, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. (local) at the Center. This
will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to
submission of bids. Bid-Opening is scheduled for March 21, 1996, at
2:00 p.m. (local) at the A/E's office. (NOTE: THIS IS A 100% SMALL
BUSINESS SET ASIDE ACQUISITION. The Standard Industrial Classification
(SIC) code for this acquisition is 1711. The Small Business Size
