The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Program Support Center/Division of Acquisition Management intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to acquire ADP support services to provide management, technical, and operational support for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Novell Ethernet local area network (LAN) and microcomputer environment. These services will be provided in the following areas: (1) planning, implementation and management support of the SAMHSA LAN; (2) technical support for microcomputer/network hardware, software, and related services; (3) user training for ADP software/services; and (4) acquisition support for replacement, augmentation, and maintenance of equipment and software used in the areas of networking and end-user development. The anticipated period of performance is a basic period of six months with four (12 month) option periods. RFP 213-96-0015 will be issued approximately 15 days from the date of publication of this notice and close approximately 30 days from the issuance date. It is impracticable to distribute the applicable reference/technical material with the solicitation.
