The specific objective of this Request for Proposal is to carry the work through choice of a system, preliminary design, and creation of the technology plan. The preliminary design work includes a thorough evaluation of the system installed in an engine on a SHCT. It it planned to have two contracts, for which substantial cost sharing will be expected. The RFP is anticipated to be issued in mid to late February, with a closing date 30 days thereafter. Estimated period of performance is 24 months. The date set for receipt of proposals is approximate. Effective October 1, 1995, the Internet will be the only source of NASA Lewis Research Center MidRange synopses and solicitations.
