Performance of analytical, scientific and engineering studies and furnishing of recommendations and reports to support missile and space booster flight safety missions of both the Western Range (Vandenberg AFB CA) and Eastern Range (Patrick AFB FL). Contract will require extensive expertise in areas of flight safety systems, statistics and probability, aerodynamics, trajectory analysis, meteorology, failure and reliability, acoustics, ordnance and range safety policies. Successful contractor must demonstrate among other things: (a) evidence of, or ability to obtain secret facility clearance; (b) adequate cost accounting system to support a cost reimbursable contract (Cost Plus Fixed Fee); and (c) evidence of past and present performance as it relates to this acquisition. Contract will be for one year with four one-year options. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business. Standard Industrial Classification is 8711 ($20M). Small Business must perform at least 51 percent of the effort. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on 28 Mar 96 with proposals due on 3 May 96.
