The Government intends to negotiate this requirement on the basis of other than full and open competition pursuant to the authority of 41 USC 252 (c) (1) with the Colorado School of Mines, Center for Welding and Joining Research, for a joint-industry workshop entitled ``International Workshop on Advanced Materials for Marine Structures.'' The Government will pay $80,000 of the anticipated cost of $190,500. The Colorado School of Mines will be responsible for arranging the balance of funding from other project sponsors. The purpose of the project is to convene an international workshop to define the state of utilization of advanced materials in marine structures. The workshop will also examine the technical and non-technical barriers that hinder fuller utilization of advanced materials. Any other persons desiring consideration are requested to fully identify their specific capability in meeting this requirement. No solicitation document currently exists; therefore, requests for such a document will not be considered at this time. Oral communications are not acceptable and will not be honored.
