Hoboken, NJ 07030-5502 C -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT TO PROVIDE INVESTIGATION SURVEY FOR
REPAIRS & ALTERATIONS OF EXISTING FACILITIES IN THE NEW YORK AND
TRIBORO DISTRICTS Sol 332495-96-A-2000. Due 022096. POC Tom Toy,
Chairman, A-E Evaluation Board. The contract is for architect-engineer
(A-E) services requiring preparation of drawings, specifications and
cost estimates required for competitive procurement of construction
work by the New York and Triboro Disricts, in the New York Facilities
Service Area. The USPS reserves the right to select two (2) or more
firms. The Counties covered by the contract are New York, Bronx,
Richmond, Queens and Kings, within the State of New York. The USPS
reserves the option to exercise design and construction administration.
The contract, for a guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000.00 will be for
one year, with individual work orders being issued. Each work order
will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one
project cannot exceed $100,000.00 and the total dollar amount of work
orders issued within a 12-month contract period can not exceed
$500,000.00. The contract may be renewed for two (2) one-year periods
providing the total contract amount does not exceed $2,500,000.00. The
A/E firm shall be architecturally oriented with in-house Mechanical,
Electrical, Structural capabilities or have consultants with those
disciplines. Firms will be considered in each instance in the following
order of preference: 1) Local (within the area described above); 2)
within 25 miles of the local area; 3) State of New York; 4) all others.
To the fullest extent, the U.S. Postal Service welcomes the
participation of women and/or minority-owned/operated A/E firms. Firms
that have the qualifications to perform the services described are
invited to submit a completed SF255, Architect/Engineer and Related
Services Questionnaire form specific project; a completed SF 254 for
each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, postmarked
not later than February 20, 1996. The selection will be conducted by
using both the submitted SF255 and SF254's. Interested firms with more
than one office must indicate on the SF255 the staffing composition of
the office in which the work will be performed. Firms will be
considered as local only if their sole office is in the local
geographic area or they have a local branch office and all the
architectural and mechanical, electrical design, coordination, and
management of the project will be performed in that office. There is no
restriction on the geographic location of consultants. The contract
contains a requirement for evidence of current errors and omissions
insurance. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or
brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from
award of ONLY or hand-delivered. PERSONAL VISITS AND TELEPHONE CALLS
for the purpose of discussing this project ARE NOT PERMITTED. No other
general notification of this project will be made. Submissions will
