This project to relocate the FAA Remote Transmitter Receiver, (RTR), at Milwaukee, Wisconsin includes, but is not limited to: construction of new equipment building approximately 25' X 17'; construction of concrete foundation for antenna towers; installation of 3 Government furnished 60' self supporting antenna towers, construction of access drive to site and perimeter fence; furnishing and installation of grounding cables and signal cables from equipment building to antenna towers; and furnishing and installation of junction boxes, square duct, cable tray, convenience outlet and lightning protection system. All work is to be accomplished in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. The bid documents are expected to be available on or about February 27, 1996 and the bid opening will be on or about March 27, 1996. The SIC code is 1542. The estimated bidding range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged business programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
