The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) REMOVAL incl: 1000 feet flanged steel pipe, fittings and valves; PCB containing pipe coating materials. NEW WORK incl: 500 feet of 4-inch to 6-inch bent circular welded steel pipe; Sixteen (16) 4-inch butterfly valves; 500 feet of 3-inch to 12-inch Reinforced Thermoset Resin Pipe; Twelve (12) 8-inch to 12-inch butterfly valves; Nine (9) 3-inch ball valves; painting of new steel piping and modified ferrous metal surfaces of the generator cooling water piping system and subsequent labeling of the system. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work by 28 February 1997. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a March 1, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
