The Ocean Surveillance System (OSS) provides detection of ships and ocean traffic within and approaching the Western Range safety hazard zones. This requirement is to procure three new OSS sensors which are comprised of the X-band radar and associated ground station equipment. The radar portion is a standard X-band marine radar and antenna unit mounted atop a tower of sufficient height to provide the required range to the horizon. The ground station provides power to the radar, all required control signals to run the radar, radar video processing circuitry, and equipment to format and transmit the resulting radar data over standard voice quality communication lines to the ACC and display console. Documentation for Operation and Maintenance of the sensors is also to be included. Personnel training is also required.
