NIH intends to procure on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the following items: The National Institute of AAA (1) LSM-270 film recorder, (1) LSM-271 camera, 35 MM Back (1) LSM 239 neon laser, (1) LSM-111 tv interface, (3) NPVW-3036-opt2 work station (1) np-21 service rail, (1) np-22 shelf, (1) np-20 6'' armrest, (3) np-50 cable mngt. system. We are now approaching a stage where additional enhancements to the system are needed to increase the performance and capabilities of the video microscope. 1.)LSM-270,LSM271,LSM111 are essential for image documentation. 2.) The LSM 239 green helium laser is necessary to image brainsections stained with rhudamine. 3.)The newport antivibration tables (NPVW-3036-OPT2,NP21,NP22,NP20,NP50) will reduce vibratin and will provide the image quality needed. Since all requested items must work in conjunction with the existing laser scanning microscope.
