``TOWN MEETING'' AT AIR FORCE MUSEUM MARCH 1996 All interested contractors are invited to attend a ``Town Meeting'' to be held in the Distance Learning Center on the third floor of the Air Force Museum at 9:00 a.m. on 26 Mar 96. The Museum is located on Hwy 247, south of and adjacent to Robins AFB GA. It is independent of Robins AFB and entrance to the Government installation is not required. However, foreign attendees must obtain clearance to attend the meeting through their embassy. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for early industry involvement in the Government's proposed approach for acquiring approx 5,000 ``new generation'' ground support heaters over a five year period. In addition to the group discussion, interested parties will be afforded an opportunity for a one-on-one meeting with the Government Program Team on 27 Mar 1996. These INDIVIDUAL MEETINGS must be requested and scheduled no later than close of business 18 Mar 96. Attendance at the Town Meeting is anonymous; however, to be eligible for the individual meetings, you must attend the group forum. The purpose of this Town Meeting is not to obtain proposals and is solely to offer early industry involvement in a contemplated Air Force acquisition. Attendance does not guarantee that any offerors will be considered for award if a solicitation results. Accordingly, the Government is under no obligation to reimburse any source for attendance at this meeting or for any bid and/or proposal costs incurred in preparation of same.
