The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a Contractor to provide all the labor, materials, equipment, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes removing the existing 115-kV, 3-phase, 6-Hz, double- circuit, wood pole H-frame line approximately 3 miles in length. The line will have six 795,000-circular mil, ACSR, 26/7 conductors and two 3/8-inch-diameter, extra-high-strength-steel, 7-strand overhead ground wires. The work also includes replacing two 115-kV wood H-frame structures on the Flatiron-Dixon 115-kV Transmission Line approximately 10 miles west of Loveland, Colorado. This project is located near Weld and Larimer Counties, Colorado. The estimated order of magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on double-sided, high-density DOS-formatted 3.5-inch floppy diskettes. The IFB and specifications are formatted using WordPerfect 5.1. There will be only one award made from this solicitation. Therefore, all Bidders must submit their bids on an ''all or none basis''. This solicitation will be issued on or about Mar. 18, 1996. The projected bid opening date is on or about Apr. 23, 1996. This proposed procurement is unrestricted (full and open).
