The purpose of this project is to provide a commercial data acquisition and display system for briefing aircrews, command and control agencies over a local Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system. Minimum requirements of system are microprocessor based system, 16MB system memory, UNIX or DOS based operating system, a 17'' high resolution monitor; high speed satellite downlink, 99.95% reliability. Data requirements include Realtime weather radar, conventional and NEXRAD, NWS S-Band and C-Band radar data, U.S. Air Force radar data, near-realtime regional and national composited radar data, GOES satellite imagery in infrared, weather charts, maps, graphics, alphanumeric watches, warnings, realtime lightning strike depiction and more. Vendors who are able to provide this equipment or equal are invited to identify their ability to meet this requirement by requesting a solicitation package then submitting a proposal to include technical data, pricing and other information which shows a bona fide ability to meet this requirement with alternate equipment. All submissions must include documentation indicating how their alternate equipment is equal to that identified above along with the current price to provide the comparable equipment to Selfridge ANG Base. It is the vendor's responsibility to provide sufficient technical detail to allow the Base to discern the applicability of the alternate equipment.
