Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340-2799 C -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECT-ENGINEER SERVICES AT
US POSTAL SERVICE OWNED AND LEASED FACILITIES IN THE SOUTHERN THIRD OF
THE MISSISSIPPI STATE AREA Due 030896. POC Fred Boyd, Project Manager,
(770) 454-0638. Multiple contracts may be issued under this
advertisement. Each of the contracts for architect-engineer services,
with a 5,000 guaranteed amount, will be for two years with individual
work orders being issued for design, document preparation & contract
administration on individual projects. Project types to include
repairs, alteration, and painting of existing facilities and the site
adaptation of USPS CADD based plans. Work orders typically do not
exceed $100,000 in fees. The total contract cannot exceed $250,000 for
each 12 month contract period. The contract may be renewed for three
one-year periods. Total contract cannot exceed $2,500,000. This
contract is to cover the Southern Third of the Mississippi State Area,
however, it may be used occasionally within other areas of the
Southeastern United States. Firms that possess the qualifications to
perform the services described above are invited to submit two (2)
copies each of completed SF255 ``Architect-Engineer and Related
Services Questionnaire for Specific Project'', SF254
``Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire'' for itself
and SF254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown
above, postmarked no later than March 8, 1996. The selection will be
conducted with the combined use of the submitted SF255 and SF254s.
Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on its SF255
the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be
performed. Firms must have a minimum of two registered architects with
shared legal and financial responsibilities, have a minimum of two
years Autocadd experience, and must be able to provide the service of
at least one of each of the following disciplines (each registered in
Mississippi): mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineering.
Any of the above engineering disciplines may be provided through
outside consultant firms. Consideration will be given to firms
responding to this advertisement in accordance with foregoing
instruction in the following order of preference: (1) within seventy
five miles from the Gulf coast in Mississippi or Alabama, (2) State of
Mississippi, (3) Out of State. There is no restriction on the
geographical location of consultants. Firms must provide proof of or
demonstrate the ability to obtain errors and omissions insurance,
minimum of $200,000 per claim, with submittals (two copies).
Participation of minority business enterprises is a consideration in
U.S. Postal Service architect-engineer selections. It is prohibited to
pay any fee, commission, percentage or brokerage fee to any person or
firm contingent upon, or resulting from, award of this contract. No
other general notification of this project will be made. Submittals
will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals.
