notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

Environment. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS

numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): The Regulation
relates to the noise generated by engines which are not provided with
an approval mark and which are used in races and competitive off-road
driving. The Regulation makes reference to the measuring methods and
limit values prescribed by the International Motor Federation. 5. Title
and number of pages of the notified document: Regulation Governing
Noise Generation by Sports Car Engines (available in English, 5 pages).
6. Description of content: The Regulation prescribes the use of
measuring methods and limit values as laid down by the International
Motor Federation. 7. Objective and rationale: In order to avoid
unnecessary hindrances these regulations are linked to internationally
recognized regulations. 8. Relevant documents: The Order on Noise
Generation by Sports Car Engines pursuant to the Noise Pollution Act.
9. Proposed date of adoption and entry into force: 1 March 1996. 10.
