The EROS Data Center was established to foster and coordinate the use of remote sensing data to solve earth resource information needs of the U.S. Department of the Interior. It has the responsibility to generate and disseminate reproductions of remote sensing data to users in the Government and the public sector on a cost recovery basis, and to provide assistance to potential users in the technology of extracting information from the data. The Center is a repository for remote sensing data gathered by spacecraft, conventional aircraft, and other means. The data is available to users worldwide in a variety of forms upon request. Period of Performance is estimated to be December 1, 1996 through November 30, 1997 with four (4) additional one year options. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the USGS. The due date is on or about seventy- five (days) after the date of publication of this notice.
