is a combined synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only Solicitation; quotes are being requested and a
written Solicitation will not be used. This is a request for quotation,
number SP4410-96-Q-1014. The Solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal acquisition
circular 90-34. CLIN 0001 is for the services of Ten(10) temporary
employees fortwenty-five(25) workdays (Monday-Friday). Job requirements
are asfollows: A. Receive, Count, verify, sort, and classify items.
Knowledge of demilitarization codes and codition codes would behelpful.
Employees will be required to use a forklift and/orhandtruck to load
items from truck or tractor. B. Perform warehousing duties in dim,
unheated warehouses or in outdoor storageareas. Sort and segregate
material into scrap sites. C. Employee will be required to stand, walk,
Bend and stoop for prolongedperiods of time. Employee will be required
to lift up to 50 pounds. Work is performed on hard surfaces and rough
terrain. D. Employee will be required to wear steel toe shoes, leather
gloves and safety glasses. E. Contractor must furnish the above
safetyequipment. F. Duty station is the defense Personnel
supportcenter, 2800 south 20th Street, Bldg 26-C, Philadelphia, PA
and/orbldg 648, Philadelphia Naval shipyard. Government identifications
are necessary for each site. Employees are required for Ten(10) hour
days, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. With a 30 minute lunch break. Period of
performance to begin within two(2) days of award of contract. Wage
determination NO. 82-80069, Rev 12, dated 12/05/94 isapplicable. The
labor rate for a laborer in the Northeast region is $9.69. Acceptance
of services shall be accomplished by the designated DRMO
representative. FAR 52.212-1, instructions toofferors-Commercial items
applies to this acquisition. (award will be made to the lowest
responsive, responsible offereor.) offerors must include a completed
copy of the provision at FAR 52.213-3, offeror representations and
certifications-Commercial items with its quote. The clause FAR
52.212-4, contract terms and conditions Commercial items, applies to
this acquisition. The clause FAR 52.212-5, contract terms and
conditions required to implement statues or executive orders.
Commercial items, applies to thisacquisition. The following clauses
within FAR 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition under paragraph B:
(6),(7),(8), and (9) and under paragraph C: Subparagraph(1) applies.
Bidders must include completed copy of the provision at dfars
252.212-7000, offeror representations and certifications-Commercial
items, with itsquote. FAR 52.212-4, contract terms and
conditions-commercialitems, applies to this acquisition. Dfars clause
252-212-7001, contract terms and conditions required to implement
statutes applicable to defense acquisition of Commercial items,
applies. Dfars clause 252.201.7000 applies to this acquisition. Quotes
are due NO later than 4:30 PM local time, fifteen (15) days after
publication of this synopsis in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD). If
fifteen (15) days after publication of this notice in the CBD occurs on
a Saturday or Sunday, then the quotes are due by 4:30 P.M. Local time
