FISC Norfolk Washington Detachment has a requirement for consolidated mail sorting services for federal agencies throughout the metropolitan Washington DC and Baltimore areas. Contractor will be required to pick-up mail from various federal agencies to consolidated, presort and delivery point barcode first and third class mail to obtain United States Postal Service discounts for federal agencies. Delivery point barcode mail will be presorted to the finest depth possible in order to achieve the maximum postage discounts that are available. Contractor will also ship and deliver agency international mail. Contractor will assist agencies and provide consulting services to improve mail sorting operations. The contractor shall have 12 months experience in large national mailings and at least 12 months of previous Multi-Line Optical Character Reader experience in delivery point barcoding/presorting of mail. The maximum volume of first class mail is 34 million pieces annually. The maximum volume of third class mail is 11,150,000 pieces annually. The maximum volume of international mail is 142,000 pounds. Contractor's past performance will be used as an evaluation criteria. Contract is for one base year, and four one-year option years, and the option of FAR 52.217-8.
