Davis, (202)260-8482, Contracting Officer, Brian Neiheisel, (202)260-9934 The Environmental Protection Agency Office of Underground Storage Tanks in the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response is requesting proposals for a CPFF, level of effort contract. The Office of Underground Storage Tanks requires contractor support to provide assistance to the states (1) to obtain state program approval; (2) to involve the private sector in program implementation activities, (3) to assist EPA with implementing the underground storage tank program in the states and on Indian lands; (4) to provide support for site investigations and remediation of leaking underground storage tanks; (5) to promote leak detection and upgrading, replacing or closing tanks; (6) to develop outreach materials to assist EPA on options for owners/operators to obtain compliance; (7) to foster risk-based corrective action; (8) to evaluate alternative mechanisms for compliance with financial responsibility requirements; and (9) to streamline state oversight and management procedures and processes. The contract will have a maximum potential of 20,000 total hours (one 1 year base period of 10,000 hours LOE, plus a maximum potential of 10,000 hours for two subsequent option periods). It is anticipated that the RFP will be released approximately 30 days after publication of this announcement. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days following release of the RFP.
