NEGRON, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, 804/445-1760; ; JEANIE THORNE, CONTRACTING OFFICER The Government intends to negotiate a Modification on a Sole Source basis with Moran Towing of Virginia for tugboat services as required by Naval Station, Norfolk; Norfolk Naval Shippyard, Porstmouth; and, Military Sealift Command, Norfolk for the period of 01 April 1996, or soon thereafter, through 30 June 1996. This modification will increase the quantities under LOT III (Second Option Year) to allow for increased performance under Contract N00189-93-D-0222 which is due to expire 31 March 1996. This modification to the existing contract will ensure continuity of critical services. The estimated dollar value of this modification is approximately $500,000.00. (0040)
