all labor, material and equipment necessary to provide dockside
repairs including but not limited to the following minimum quantity
items: 1) Inspect Underwater Hull 2) Install Remote Bow Thruster
Shutdown Station 3) Renew Exhaust Piping 4) Overhaul Ventilation Motors
5) Modify Boiler Intake Ducting 6) Inspect and Test Air Receivers 7)
Test and Set Relief Valves 8) Modify Hydraulic Return Piping 9)
Overhaul Steering Hydraulic Cylinders 10) Renew Main Hoist Block Hanger
and Weight Test Main and Whip Hoist 11) Overhaul Sheath Screw Assembly
12) Modify Drainage System 13) Test Pad Eyes 14) Renew Joiner Bulkhead
Panels and Bulkhead Insulation 15) Preserve Buoy Deck 16) Preserve
Weather Decks 17) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection
and Holding Tanks 18) Renew Acoustic Insulation and Sheathing. 19)
Welding Repairs. Indefinite quantity items include but are not limited
to the following: 1) Provide Temporary Messing 2) Provide Temporary
Berthing. 3) Welding Repairs 4) Provide Temporary Logistics. Vessel
homepier is Port Huron, MI. Work will be performed at the contractors
facility. Vessel is geographically restricted to the Great Lakes.
Availability schedule is on or about 03 June 96. Performance Period is
scheduled for 35 calendar days. There will be a non-refundable charge
of $100 in the form of certified check or money order made payable to
the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Orders must be placed
within ten (10) days of solicitation issuance. The proposed contract
listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration
Program. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT
Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance
and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. For
