This office intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with BrainTree, Technology, Inc. 62 Accord Park Drive, Norwell, MA 02061. For the procurement of software that will enhance password security standards and reporting at the database level for Oracle Relational Database Management System based client/server applications. The contemplated software must perform database level password aging and expiration, intrusion detection and evasion, random password generation, checks for easily guessable passwords and password reuse. The ability to identify and automatically expire dormant user accounts is also required. The software must provide a standard interface for integration with applications and non-privileged password administration and user password change clients. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a competitive solititation will be issued. If a solititation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solititation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that responded to this synopsis of intent or otherwise requested a copy of the solicitation.
