The Defense Electronics Supply Center (DESC) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Research Administration, the award of a modification to contract N00014-91-C-0001. Subject modification will extend the period of performance additional six (6) months from 1 Mar 96 to 30 Aug 96, with the possibility of two (2) three-month extension options (which would extend to 28 Feb 97). Johns Hopkins currently operates the Chemical Propulsion Information Agency (CPIA) under the subject contract. The effort includes, but is not limited to: The collection, review, analysis appraisal and summary of information related to research and development of military applications of chemical, electrical, and nuclear propulsion Scientific and Technical Information (STI) applied to missile, space vehicle, and gun technologies within the scope of the CPIA. DESC believes that Johns Hopkins University Homewood Research Administration is the only known source capable of meeting all of the government's minimum requirements for capability to perform the requirement.
