The National Cancer Institute intends to negotiate with Starks Associates, Inc. for a three month extension to Contract No. N01-CM-17544 for the Synthesis of Bulk Chemicals and Drugs for Preclinical and Clinical Studies. This project is for the development of existing or new processes, procedures and techniques for the preparation of compounds and the synthesis of varying amounts of materials, not readily available from other sources in the quantity and/or quality needed. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The three month extension if solely intended to cover the estimated period between the expiration of the ucrrent contract and award of a new contract. See Note 22.
