COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 15,1996 PSA#1532Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, 12350 Research
Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826-3224 J -- CONTRACTOR MAINTENANCE SUPPLY SUPPORT POC Mr. M.A. Hickey,
Contract Specialist, at (407)380-4062/Mr. Raymond J. Fegal, Contracting
Officer, at (407)380-4372 The U.S. Army Office of the Project Manager
for training Devices has a requirement to provide an additional year (1
July 1996 through 30 June 1997) of logistics support for the Precision
Gunnery Training Systems (PGTS). This support shall be provided for
all PGTS configurations: both the indoor and outdoor version of the TOW
and Dragon, the Improved TOW Vehicle/Light Armored Vehicle - Antitank
outdoor trainer, the Improved Instructor Station for the outdoor TOW
trainers, the User Specified Operational Trainer Improvements for the
outdoor trainer, and the Rehost effort on the indoor trainer. The
Government does not possess configuration control of the PGTS program
at this time and will not be able to provide complete technical
drawings/data/documentation necessary for this logistic support until
the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 1996. Due to ongoing engineering
changes being made to the PGTS system's outdoor version of TOW, its
production and fielding has been extended through July 1999. The
Government intends to procure this effort from its current PGTS
Contractor Repair Activity (CRA) contractor, LORAL Fairchild Systems,
Syosset, N.Y. Because it is essential for the Government to retain the
existing CRA through completion of this engineering change, LORAL is
the only source which possesses the necessary reference data, current
design information, and expertise to accomplish this task. Respondents
to this notice should within 15 days after the publication date of
notice, submit a statement of capability to the Contracting Officer,
Mr. Raymond J. Fegal, for a determination of capability. See number
