JAMES (601)634-3171 (Site Code DACW39) Furnish for charter a geophysical survey vessel, with all necessary operating personnel, capable of providing survey and vibracoring support in the Lower Bay and Bight Apex areas of New York Harbor as required by USAE Waterways Experiment Station, CE, Vicksburg, MS. The vessel must be suitable for performance in the Atlantic Ocean during 24 hour operations and capable of berthing up to 5 Government personnel in addition to the crew. The ship's onboard electrical system must have the capability to support 5 computer systems, 2 seismic acquisition systems, and 1 side-scan sonar system all of which operate at 110 volts and require a total load capacity of approximately 40 amps (system should function independent of the vessel's normal operational electrical requirements). Minimum vessel specifications are: (1) length-90 ft., beam-25 ft.; (2) 24-hour operations capability; (3) stern A-frame capable of deploying/towing geophysical equipment; (4) starboard or port mounted A-frame for use in vibracoring operations or towing geophysical equipment; (5) climate controlled in-deck laboratory/data acquisition room with a minimum size of 10'X 18' with electrical capabilities as stated above; (6) approximately 40'X 25' open deck area; (7) deck handling crane and trawl winch; and, (8) pneumatic vibracoring with optional jetting capability (30 ft. cores maximum). Optional equipment shall include an EG&G, or equivalent, boomer system. Contract duration will be approximately fifty-four (54) operations days. Proposals will be evaluated based on offeror's demonstrated performance, technical comprehension of the scope of work, equipment capabilities, personnel qualifications and expertise, and cost.
