The rock excavation will begin at the U.S. Harbor line and continue approximately 1000 feet to the southeast corner of the basin. The berthing facility involves construction of two circular steel sheet piling systems filled with stone, a continuously reinforced concrete deadman wall and installation of mooring fixtures.
